Terms & Conditions

Effective date: January 1, 2025

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the F7 Media website and the video production and storytelling services we provide. By using our website or hiring F7 Media, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

F7 Media ("F7 Media," "we," "us," or "our") is a commercial video production and storytelling company based in Seattle, Washington, and a subsidiary of F7 Studios. F7 Media is a WDVA-certified Veteran-Owned Business. Contact us at [business email] or [business mailing address].

2. Use of this website

You may browse this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Copy, scrape, or republish our content, video, or imagery without written permission

  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems

  • Submit false, misleading, or unlawful information through our forms

  • Use the site in any way that violates applicable law

We may update, suspend, or remove any part of the website at any time without notice.

3. Our services

F7 Media provides commercial video production, including concept development, scripting, filming, editing, and delivery of finished media. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for each project are set out in a written proposal, quote, or agreement (a "Project Agreement"). If a Project Agreement conflicts with these terms, the Project Agreement controls for that project.

4. Quotes, booking, and payment

  • Quotes are valid for [30] days from the date issued unless stated otherwise.

  • A project is booked once you sign the Project Agreement and pay the required deposit of [X%] of the quoted fee. Deposits are non-refundable once pre-production has begun.

  • The remaining balance is due [on delivery / within X days of invoice].

  • Late payments may incur a fee of [X%] per month, and we may withhold final deliverables or licenses until payment is received in full.

  • Fees do not include sales tax, travel, permits, location fees, talent, music licensing, or equipment rentals unless the Project Agreement says so.

5. Scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling

  • Shoot dates are reserved only after the deposit is received.

  • If you cancel or reschedule with less than [X] days' notice, you may owe a cancellation fee of up to [X%] of the project fee, plus any non-recoverable costs already incurred.

  • Weather, illness, or site access problems may require rescheduling. We will work with you in good faith to find a new date.

  • If we must cancel for reasons within our control, we will offer a new date or refund amounts paid for work not yet performed.

6. Client responsibilities

You agree to provide timely access to locations, people, materials, approvals, and feedback. You are responsible for obtaining permission to film at your locations and for ensuring that any materials you give us (logos, footage, music, scripts, images) are yours to use or properly licensed. Delays in approvals or materials may affect the delivery schedule and fees.

7. Revisions and delivery

  • Your fee includes two (2) rounds of revisions on the edit at no additional charge.

  • Additional revisions beyond the two included rounds, or changes requested after final approval or project closure, are billed at our standard hourly rate.

  • Delivery timelines are estimates and depend on prompt feedback and payment. If we receive no feedback within ten (10) business days of delivering an edit for review, the project is considered closed and the most recent version is considered approved.

  • We do not provide raw, unedited footage as part of our services. Raw footage is available for purchase separately at 2.5 times the project budget.

8. Ownership and licensing

  • F7 Media owns the copyright in all footage, edits, and other works we create, including scripts, concepts, and creative treatments, until payment is received in full.

  • Upon full payment, we grant you a [non-exclusive / exclusive], [perpetual / X-year] license to use the final delivered videos for the purposes described in the Project Agreement (for example, your website, social media, and marketing).

  • Any use beyond the licensed scope, including paid media, broadcast, resale, or sublicensing, requires our written approval and may require additional fees.

  • Third-party assets such as stock footage, licensed music, fonts, and talent releases may carry separate usage limits, which we will disclose where applicable.

9. Portfolio and promotional use

Unless the Project Agreement says otherwise, F7 Media may display the finished work, behind-the-scenes content, and your company name and logo in our portfolio, website, social media, case studies, and award submissions. If you need confidentiality, tell us in writing before the project begins.

10. Releases and filming consent

You are responsible for obtaining signed releases from any employees, customers, or members of the public who appear on camera as part of your project, unless we agree in writing to handle releases for you. Where we are filming at public or event settings, notice of filming may be posted on site.

11. Equipment, safety, and site conduct

We use professional equipment and take reasonable care on every shoot. You agree to provide a safe working environment for our crew. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to our equipment caused by your guests, staff, or site conditions outside our control.

12. Disclaimers

This website and our content are provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. We cannot guarantee specific business results, such as views, leads, or sales, from any video we produce.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, F7 Media and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the project giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold F7 Media harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from materials you provide, your breach of these terms, or your use of the finished work outside the licensed scope.

15. Force majeure

Neither party is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, illness, government action, labor disputes, or utility and network failures.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve any concern informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the website or our services after changes are posted means you accept them.
